I saved this coral from petco yesterday. It is completely bleached and looked like all skeleton till I felt it and still had flesh. I dipped it and put it in my aquarium.. within a few minutes the polyps opened and I found out it was a hammer. Lol, first time hammer mom.. what should I feed it and what kind of lighting & flow do they like? Ty ❤️
Sadly I added a few sps across to my tank and even with pro0er levels of salinity etc day one they where shedding proper flow and low lighting the only thing I can think of was they where skipped and where cold I did allocate them and the montapora and one peice of acro are okay the only one who are showing polyps are the momtipora any subjection
Anyone have experience with Ricordea mushrooms? I’ve heard anything from “hardy anyone can keep them” to “they melt after two weeks very difficult” this is my first go at them. Here’s my placement. I don’t have a par matter meter but bottom of my tall tank with low flow.
Got this Rhodactis yesterday for a good deal from a LFS that was blasting them with too much light. What will he color up into under less intense lighting?
Does anyone have a rough estimate of how far off the surface of my 75 gallon my reef lights should be? We rent out a par meter at my job I just recently learned of, so will definitely use it when I get the chance, was just worried for what I could do for now as my week old Duncan (pictured below) has looked like this since I put it in
