Okay I need to use some GFO cuz my phosphates are a tad high and I’m getting a green hair algae outbreak. I asked deep dive to analyze my tank size (47 gal) and recent phosphate parameters test (0.2 ppm). it recommended I use 300g and that seems like an extremely high amount. I’m scared to crash my system. A BRS video says 1 Tbsp per 4 gallons and I’m thinking of even doing half that just to start gradually. Advice for GFO first timer?

Hey everyone- I’m having a bit of a green hair algae problem, I’m staying on top of feeding, I’m physically removing some too, but I’ve lost a few snails and hermits in the past year, and feel I’m just lacking algae eaters.

For reference, when it comes to algae eaters I currently have 5 blue leg hermits, 8-9 nerite snails, 2 cerith snails, a conch and a tuxedo urchin.

So, do you have any suggestions for clean up crew to eat algae in a 25 gallon that will get along with my other inverts and small fish (I’m scared an emerald crab may attack my cleaner shrimp or goby/pistol shrimp pair.)

Thank you in advance!

Just want to show you all a real life reef tank. Nobody on TikTok or IG would show their tank like this 😂. Sometimes life happens and your tank gets neglected. My tank is almost 4 years old. The Euphillia are growing like weeds which makes me happy

I am going to get back to regular maintenance. I need to buy a larger CUC and take care of this green hair algae. I will slowly get this tank looking much better.
