New tank, lagoon! D6 with almost direct transfer of existing rock and biomedia from existing tank. Daily bottle bacteria plus seachem stability. Dozens of corals and inverts all-in! Visible pods swimming around rocks d1! Initial tests (ammonia/nitrite/nitrate) zero, increasing ghost feeding plus adding some reef roids to push cycle into gear. Pics to follow 🐠

1.5j! I had a lot to learn, had to battle a lot of algue but finaly i can say the tank is stable and i see growth! Did a light change from a ai 16hd to 2 radion xr 15, so that was a kickstart for the corals to start growing

Just introduced some new corals to my tank, I’m guessing it’s pretty normal for a toadstool to slump over for the first week to acclimate?

Using the cultivating kit I purchased from Reef by Steele, I can now turn 1 16 ounce bottle of phytoplankton into 7 bottles. You do the math $19 for one end up with 7 bottles. Take one of the 7 bottles start a new culture. It will last in the refrigerator for about two weeks as long as you shake the bottle gently daily and burp it. Feed your copepods and your corals. Look at that beautiful dark green phyto.

Some new additions from the past few weeks: ultra acan, orange leptoseris, pink zipper zoas, and a very curious little coral goby. Welcome to the family!
