Soy nuevo en el acuario marino. Hace como una semana conseguí una anémona condylactis y parecía que iba bien. Ayer noté que empezó a moverse de una esquina de mi acuario a otra y hoy en la mañana como a las 9am estaba como en la primera foto. Se veía como que se estaba encogiendo. Ahora se ve como en la segunda. ¿Alguien sabe qué está pasando? ¿Podría estar muerta o hay alguna forma de salvarla?
I’m new to saltwater. Got a condylactis anemone about a week ago and it seemed to be doing good. I noticed it started moving from one corner of my tank to another yesterday and when I saw it this morning around 9am it was like the first picture. Seemed to be shrinking. Now it looks like the second. Does anyone know what is going on? Could it be dead or is there any way to save it?

Lo pregunto porque dices que eres nuevo: ¿qué iluminación tienes en tu acuario? Necesitan una iluminación bastante decente de 150+ par para un ambiente ideal. También necesita una corriente de agua decente para que sus tentáculos se estén moviendo en el agua. Por último, las nems son criaturas particularmente sensibles y necesitan un ecosistema establecido/estable. Yo nunca sugeriría poner una en un sistema completamente nuevo (de menos de unos meses de vida). Y también ten cuidado. Las Condys se sabe que se comen peces. Son de las anémonas más agresivas por ahí
I ask this because you say that you’re new - what lighting do you have on your tank? They need pretty decent lighting of 150+ par for an ideal environment. It also needs decent water flow to get its tentacles waving in the water. Lastly, nems are particularly sensitive creatures and need an established/stable ecosystem. I’d never suggest putting one in a brand new system (under a few months of age). Also be careful. Condys are known to be fish eaters. They’re one of the more aggressive nems out there

Tengo una iluminación Hygger de 12”. Es ajustable y por ahora parece que está bien. ¡Y sí! Vi que si las alimentas cuando toca, se alejan de los peces, especialmente los más grandes :)
I have a 12” Hygger lighting. It’s adjustable and seems to be doing okay for now. And yes! I’ve seen that if you feed them as needed, they’ll keep away from fish especially the bigger ones :)
Los nano acuarios pueden ser complicados con anémonas porque les gusta andar y a veces se encogen cuando están estresadas. Asegúrate de que la iluminación y la corriente estén bien y checa tus parámetros del agua, porque en un setup pequeño pueden cambiar rápido.
Nano tanks can be tricky with anemones since they like to wander and sometimes shrink up when stressed. Make sure your lighting and flow are on point and keep an eye on your water parameters since things can swing fast in a small setup!

¡Gracias, lo intentaré! Tengo un power head que compré, pero casi se lo terminaba chupando cuando recién lo conseguí, así que lo dejé solo un rato, pero quizá tenga que volver a intentarlo ahora que ya está conectado a algo. :)

Necesitan luz en serio; por lo que entiendo, de todas las especies de nem, es la que más iluminación requiere. Tengo mi Condy con como 250 par y a veces parece que quiere más. Puedes intentar conseguir una canastita para anémonas o un “anemone cup” para levantarlo más en el acuario y que reciba más luz. También requieren alimentación; yo alimento a mis anémonas cada 3 días. Sirve camarón crudo directo de la tienda, lo cortas en pedacitos y alimentas con pinzas de alimentación. Y sí, van a hospedar un Clarkii clown
They need serious light, from what I understand the most lighting need of all the Nem species. I have my Condy under about 250 par and at times he seems like he is reaching for more. You can try getting an anemone basket or anemone cup type nest to raise him higher in the tank for more light. They require feedings I feed my anemones every 3 days . Just raw shrimp from the grocery store works, cut the shrimp into small chunks and feed with feeding tweezers And yes they will host a Clarkii clown

¡Qué padre, y gracias por saberlo! Cambié la iluminación para probar y sí se ve un poco mejor. Lo voy a tener en cuenta de ahora en adelante. Pero sí, he estado alimentando con camarón.
That’s so cool, and also good to know! I did change the lighting to test it out, and he does look a bit better. I will keep that in mind from now on. I have been feeding shrimp though!

Si tienes una impresora 3d, te puedo mandar un archivo .slt para un nido/canastita para anémona, que puedes pegarle al vidrio con imanes aptos para reef o con ventosas. Es una buena forma de levantarlas más arriba en el acuario para que reciban más luz
If you have a 3d printer I can send you a slt file for an anemone nest which you can attach to the glass with reef safe magnets or suction cups. It’s a good way to get them higher up in the tank for more light

¡Hey, felicidades por empezar tu acuario! Las anémonas Condylactis definitivamente son de las que andan de un lado a otro, sobre todo cuando no están contentas con la corriente o la iluminación. Que se encogan así puede ser normal durante el día cuando expulsan agua, pero ojo con eso por si se empiezan a derretir o huele mal. Los nano acuarios pueden ser complicados
