Acabo de montar este acuario de cuarentena, es una tina de 20 galones, estoy bastante seguro de que es terciopelo, pero acabo de conseguir un tang y llevó algo de terciopelo a mi acuario, es mi primer post pero ¿qué opinan del tratamiento que estoy usando? porfa denme sugerencias 😬😄

Acabo de tener terciopelo en mi acuario y tuve que poner todos los peces que aún estaban vivos en cuarentena… el tratamiento que me recomendaron es cobre pero no lo doses en el acuario principal. Mantén solo corales e invertebrados y espera 6-8 semanas para volver a agregar los peces. Dosifica el acuario de cuarentena por el mismo período, de lo contrario lo traerás de vuelta al acuario principal. El terciopelo solo vive si hay peces.
Just got velvet in my tank and I had to QT all the fish that were still alive…the treatment I got recommended is copper but don’t dose it in the main display. Keep corals and inverts only and wait 6-8 weeks to add the fish back. Dose the QT tank for the same period otherwise you’ll bring it back to the main display. Velvet only live if there’s fish.

Ay no, espero que tus peces estén bien ahora. Los tengo todos en cuarentena excepto un goby vigilante que he tenido problemas para atrapar 🥲 pero creo que voy a ordenar un tratamiento de cobre y espero lo mejor. Gracias
Oh no hope your fish are doing ok now. I have all of them in the qt except a watchman goby that I’ve had trouble catching 🥲but I think I’m going to order a copper treatment and hope for the best. Thank you

No creo que herbtana sea una cura efectiva. Creo que solo suprime los parásitos así que tendrías que seguir usándolo en tu acuario principal mientras tengas peces, o los parásitos podrían volver una vez que dejes de usarlo. Tampoco me gusta que sea una formulación propietaria así que no sabemos qué contiene. Te recomendaría tratar con cobre en lugar de Herbtana.
I don't think herbtana is an effective cure. I believe it just suppresses the parasites so you'd have to continue using it in your display tank as long as you have fish, or the parasites could return once you stop. I also don't like that it's a proprietary formulation so we don't know what it contains. I'd recommend treating with copper rather than Herbtana.

I'm not sure. I wouldn't recommend mixing the medications. I'd ask in the forum I mentioned. They are very knowledgeable.
