¿Alguno de vosotros tenéis experiencia con la importancia de comprobar los niveles de yodo? Siento que todos mis niveles son buenos pero algunos corales no parecen crecer, si no que se están encogiendo lentamente con el tiempo. Por ejemplo, pólipos clavel, zoas, Xenia pulsante.
Do any of you guys have any experience with the importance of checking iodine levels? I feel all my levels are good but some corals seem to not be growing, if anything shrinking slowly overtime. Example, clove star polyps, zoas, pulsing Xenia.

Con ejemplos como esos, es posible que tu agua esté demasiado limpia. Personalmente he tenido Xenia y zoas encogidas porque mis nutrientes eran muy bajos para ellas y en cuanto los subí, se inflaron y estuvieron contentas de nuevo.
With examples like that, it’s possible your water is too clean. Personally I’ve had Xenia and zoas shrink up because my nutrients was to low for them and as soon as I go it up, they puffed up and were happy again.

Vale gracias, estoy dispuesto a experimentar mientras llega el suplemento de yodo. Me saltaré un cambio de agua esta semana y veré si puedo ver signos de fuerza/esponjosidad
Ok thanks, I’m willing to experiment while the iodine sup comes in. I’ll skip a water change this week and see if I can get signs of strength/puffiness

Es difícil saberlo por el color pero estaba alrededor de .15 la semana pasada cuando lo comprobé. Es un acuario de 20 galones con 5 peces. Añadí peces porque he agotado nutrientes antes y tuve un brote de Dino
Hard to tell by color but it’s around .15 last week when I checked. It’s a 20 gallon with 5 fish in it. I added fish because I have depleted nutrients before and had a Dino outbreak

Va a tardar más de una semana en ver mejora en los corales. El tiempo que tardó en llegar a donde está, duplícalo para recuperarse. También buscaría otra forma de subir nutrientes que no sea saltarse el cambio de agua. Dale más comida, alimenta los corales.
It’s gonna take longer than a week to see coral improvement. However long it took to get where you are double that to recover. I’d also find a different way to up nutrients than no water change. Feed more, feed the corals.

PAR solo estimado basándome en otros con la misma luz y acuario exacto, pero estoy usando un espectro Radion AB+ al 50%. El flujo es algo que mi tienda local me recomendó intentar para mejorar, tengo un flujo/movimiento mínimo comparado con otros por lo que veo a través de vídeos
Par only estimate based off others with exact light and tank, but running a radion ab+ spectrum at 50%. Flow is something my LFS just recommended to try and bump up, I have minimum flow/movement compared to others from what I can tell through videos too

Continua, solo lentamente y solo en algunos corales. GSP, anémonas, hammerheads, antorchas, chalices todos parecen estar bien.
On going, just slowly and only for some corals. Gsp, mushrooms, hammers, torches, chalices all seem fine.

No hay mal que dure. Hay algo en el agua que no les gusta. También podría ser un culpable como un trozo de metal recubierto de algo deteriorándose o voltaje parásito. Quizás una sonda de toma de tierra si no puedes averiguarlo. Son baratas de probar.
Can't hurt. There's something in the water they don't like. Could also be a culprit like a coated piece of metal on something deteriorating or stray voltage. Maybe a grounding probe if you can't figure anything out. They're a cheap try.
