¡Semana 5 y 6! Sin duda he aprendido muchísimo estas dos últimas semanas con la ayuda de unos expertos increíbles en la materia. Eran difíciles de encontrar, porque no mucha gente que vende se toma en serio el mantenimiento marino. Mis parámetros se estaban estancando y el consejo de añadir más del biomedio ADECUADO y un poco más de bacterias hizo que mis nitritos bajaran en 24 horas, terminando el ciclado. Aún me quedan algunos cambios de agua antes de meter peces, pero ya están mis primeros corales, saliéndome del plan original de dos para poder aprender un poco. Los mushrooms me han permitido aprender sobre la apertura y cierre de los corales, las rocas y los frag plugs, y sobre qué pegamento funciona y cuál no; qué corales se pueden pegar a esquejes y cuáles no, y muchísimo ensayo y error antes de hacerlo bien.

Week 5 and 6! I have definitely learned a lot the last 2 weeks with the help of some amazing experts in the field. They were hard to find as not a lot of people that are sellers take marine husbandry serious. My parameters were stalling and the advice to add more of the RIGHT bio media and some more bacteria saw my nitrites drop within 24 hours finishing my cycle. Some more water changes to come before fish but my first corals are in deviating from the original two planned to allow some learning. Mushrooms allowed me to learn corals opening and closing, rocks and frag plugs and what glue works and doesn’t; which corals can be glued to frags and which can’t and a whole lot of trial and error before getting things right.
