Description
The Banded Sleeper Goby is a fascinating marine fish known for its unique appearance and behavior. It has a long, slender body with a series of bold, black stripes that run from head to tail. Its head is large compared to its body and it has a distinctively large mouth. This fish is also known as the Brownbarred Goby and Bullet Goby.

Environment
The Banded Sleeper Goby prefers a tank with plenty of hiding spots and a sandy substrate for burrowing. It requires a tank with a secure lid, as it can jump out of the tank when startled.
Behavior
The Banded Sleeper Goby is a peaceful fish that spends most of its time at the bottom of the tank. It is not a strong swimmer and prefers to 'hop' along the substrate. It is known for its burrowing behavior, creating tunnels and caves in the sand where it hides when threatened.

Great for keeping the sandbed clean, also eats hair algae. You’ll never be able to put any coral on the sand, though. I’ve found it to be a docile fish that can defend itself from attack and is difficult to startle. I would not consider it a high jump risk.
