Reef Safe?
Yes, but it can be aggressive towards other fish and invertebrates.
Environment
The Gold Nugget Maroon Clownfish thrives in a well-filtered marine aquarium with plenty of hiding spaces. They prefer a tank with live rock or coral to mimic their natural environment. They also need a sea anemone for a symbiotic relationship.
Behavior
This species is known for its aggressive behavior, especially towards other clownfish. They are territorial and often defend their home, usually a sea anemone, with vigor. They are also known to be quite hardy and adaptable.

Cool looking fish and is currently hosting some waving hand Xenia in my tank and is paired with another maroon clown. Together they are pretty territorial and like to keep their space and keep it exactly how they like it. For example the pair are constantly making their corner bare bottom and mounding the sand to one side and knock down any new corals I put in their space. Alone I think this clown would be better but paired you definitely want to keep them in a bigger tank as they are territorial.

Striking colors, always visible, hosted everything and lots of personality… but an absolute menace. Mine went after EVERYTHING in the tank (including my hand when doing maintenance). Great fish for a nano if alone. Otherwise I wouldn’t recommend Marked as medium difficulty solely due to its temperament.
