Description
A striking rabbitfish with a white face crossed by a broad black ocular band, a body split into a clean white front and brown-to-gray rear, and a fiery red-orange dorsal fin with yellow anal and tail fins. Peaceful and bold, it grazes filamentous and nuisance algae all day with its elongated snout, and its venomous dorsal spines let it hold its own alongside more assertive tankmates, though it will squabble with other rabbitfish. Give it a long, mature tank of 125 gallons or more with abundant live rock and open swimming lanes, keep it well fed on algae-based foods, and handle it carefully during maintenance.

Environment
The Magnificent Foxface requires a large tank with plenty of swimming space and hiding spots. It prefers a well-lit environment with live rock for grazing.
Behavior
This fish is generally peaceful but can be territorial and aggressive to other fish of the same species. It is known to be a jumper, so a well-sealed tank is necessary.
