Description

The Mystery Wrasse, also known as the Whitebarred Wrasse or Fivebarred Wrasse, is a vibrant, colorful saltwater fish that is popular in the aquarium trade. It is known for its striking colors, which can range from a deep blue to a bright green, with white or yellow stripes across its body.

The Mystery Wrasse is considered reef safe but may pose a threat to small, ornamental crustaceans.

Environment

The Mystery Wrasse requires a well-decorated aquarium with plenty of hiding spots. It prefers a sandy substrate and plenty of live rock for grazing and hiding.

Behavior

This species is known to be semi-aggressive. It may become territorial and aggressive towards other fish, especially those of the same species or those that are smaller.
