Description

The Two Barred Rabbitfish is a vibrant, colorful saltwater fish, known for its bright yellow body and two distinct blue stripes that run vertically across its body. It has a unique, elongated snout that it uses to feed on algae in crevices and hard-to-reach places.

Reef Safe?

Yes, but with caution. While it generally does not bother corals, it may nip at small-polyped stony coral and some soft coral polyps.

Environment

The Two Barred Rabbitfish prefers a tank with plenty of live rock for grazing and hiding. It needs a large, well-filtered aquarium with plenty of swimming space.

Behavior

This species is peaceful and can be kept singly, in pairs, or in groups in a large enough aquarium. It is a diurnal fish, meaning it is active during the day and rests at night.
