Description

The Two Spot Bristletooth Tang is a vibrant, saltwater fish notable for its elongated, oval-shaped body, and distinct coloration. It is predominantly brown, with two blue spots on the tail and a yellow stripe running down its body. The fish has a unique set of teeth that it uses to graze on algae.

Reef Safe?

Yes. This species is considered reef-safe as it does not harm corals or invertebrates, but it may nip at large-polyped stony corals and soft corals when it is underfed.

Environment

The Two Spot Bristletooth Tang requires a well-established tank with plenty of live rock for grazing. The tank should be large enough to provide ample swimming space. This species prefers a tank with a moderate to strong current.

Behavior

This species is known for its active and peaceful nature. It spends most of its time swimming around the tank and grazing on algae. It is not particularly aggressive, but it can be territorial with other Tangs.
