Description
A small, entirely golden-yellow basslet with fine orange-red edging on the unpaired fins and a subtle blue highlight around the eye. It is a shy, cave-dwelling fish famous for hovering and swimming upside down beneath ledges and overhangs, so provide plenty of rockwork with caves and dim retreats. Generally peaceful toward unrelated tankmates but territorial toward other assessors and similar basslets, keep singly, as a mated pair, or in a small group only in a large, rockwork-rich system, and always use a tight-fitting lid since they jump readily when startled.

This is a great community fish with some quirky behavior. It spends most of its time vertical and often swims upside down. Well worth the cost.
