It’s a lot of work , but it’s fun, and you’ll have a much better stand and canopy than you could ever hope to buy, and you’ll save at least half of what just a store bought stand would cost! If you’re not up for all that, you could buy used on Marketplace. Possibly here on ReefBay as well. Used, especially when it comes to lighting, is always going to be cheaper than buying new. Look for the Chinese black boxes. Most of them give a pretty good bang for the buck. DIY will often be the cheapest route however. Not always, but most of the time it will be.
