Sterkte met je verlies, Soortgelijk gebeurde met mijn Scopas Tang, ik dacht eerlijk gezegd dat het het niet ging redden maar het deed het wel en heeft er sindsdien van hersteld. Ik ben nu niet 100% zeker wat het had maar het zag er hetzelfde uit als wat jouw vis had. Ik heb een foto op mijn profiel als je die wilt bekijken en vergelijken. Ik deed medicatie door hun voer met Focus en Metroplex van Seachem, ik gebruik ook Selcon omdat dat hun immuunsysteem helpt versterken.
Sorry for your loss, Similar thing happened to my Scopas Tang, honestly thought it wasn’t going to make it but it did and since then has made a recovery. Now I’m not 100% sure what it had but it looked similar to what your fish had. I have a picture on my profile if you’d like to take a look and compare. I did add a medication their food which was Focus and Metroplex from Seachem, I also use Selcon as this helps boost their immune system.

Eens met het h2o2-bad eerst. Maar ik ben benieuwd waarom je 2-3 dagen wacht na vloeibare Prazipro voordat je koper start? Ichtyo of fluweelmug, behandeling is hetzelfde.
Agree on the h2o2 bath first. But im curious why you wait 2-3 days after prazipro liquid before starting copper? Ich or velvet, treatment is the same.

Op dag 3 is mijn koperniveau op 0.25, en het stijgt naar 0.44 op dag 4. Op dag 6, als ik Prazipro afsluit, is het koperniveau ongeveer 0.50. Dan zal ik het koper naar therapeutische niveaus brengen en antibiotica toevoegen. Ik zet niet graag teveel medicijnen tegelijk, want dat kan niet goed voor de vis zijn.
On day 3, my copper level is at 0.25, and it increases to 0.44 by day 4. By day 6, when I finish prazipro, the copper level is around 0.50. At that point, I’ll raise the copper to therapeutic levels and start adding antibiotics. I prefer not to mix too many medications at once, as it might not be beneficial for the fish.

Met kopergevoelige vissen is een langzame opbouw nodig. Maar als een ichtyo-uitbraak zover is, zou ik zeggen meteen naar therapeutische niveaus van koper en prazi en nitrofurazone. Het is de enige kans. Tangs zijn niet kopergevoelig zoals wrasses, maar ook al dan niet—als je geen keus hebt, is het een tijdbom. Vooral als het fluweelmug is.
With copper sensitive fish a slow ramp is warranted. But when this far along an ich outbreak id suggest go straight to therapeutic levels of copper and prazi and nitrofurazone. Its the only chance. Tangs aren't copper sensitive like wrasse but even then if you have no choice. Its a time bomb. Especially if its velvet.

You’re absolutely right. This situation happened suddenly. As you may have read in my comment, the fish didn’t give me a chance to respond.

Ik hou dit aquarium goed in de gaten. Ik heb vandaag wat zandkrabgedrag bij een paar vissen opgemerkt, dus ik plan ze allemaal in quarantaine te zetten. Ik deel later vandaag een video van de poederblauwe tang want hij gedroeg zich normaal voordat hij stierf.
I'm keeping a close eye on this tank. I've noticed some sand-scratching behavior in a few fish today, so I'm planning to quarantine all of them. I will share a video later today,of the powder blue tang as he was behaving normally before he passed away.

De beste manier om ichtyo uit je rif-aquarium te verwijderen en verdere infectie te voorkomen is alle vissen uit het display te halen voor behandeling in een quarantaine en de parasiet te laten uitsterven in het "lege" aquarium. Behandel alle vissen met kopermedicatie in een apart QT-aquarium en isoleer ze 4-8 weken. Zodra de parasiet geen gastheer meer kan vinden in je display, zal het vrijwel zeker afsterven na zijn levenscyclus (ongeveer 4 weken).
The best way to eradicate Ich from your reef aquarium and prevent further infection is to remove all your fish for treatment in a quarantine tank and let the parasite die out in the "fallow" display. Treat all your fish with copper medication in a separate QT tank and keep them isolated for 4-8 weeks. Once the parasite is not able to find a host in your display tank, it will presumably die off completely after it runs through its lifecycle (roughly 4 weeks).

Ik ben hier meer onderzoek naar gaan doen omdat het veel voorkomt. Fluweelmug lijkt een heel tiny deeltje, ongeveer zo groot als poedersuiker. Ichtyo is ongeveer zo groot als zout. ( je foto ziet er voor mij meer uit als zout ) Ook overleven vissen fluweelmug niet lang. Als dit al meer dan een paar dagen is, zou ik zeggen ichtyo.
I’ve started doing more research on this since it’s been a common questions. Seems like velvet is a tinier particle about the size of powder sugar. While ich is about the size of salt. ( your pic looks more like salt to me ) Also fish don’t survive velvet very long. If this has been more than a few days that would lead me to believe ich.

Unfortunately, the fish passed away suddenly. I noticed a significant color change, turning a drake-like purple, and it began hiding—behavior that was unusual for it. I had attempted to quarantine the fish, but it didn’t survive. I suspect the display tank may be the source of the illness, as I typically treat my fish before introducing them to it.
