Good afternoon from my family to yours!!
Little question for the day: Should I add another fish to help increase nitrates and phosphates??
I scrubbed majority of the hair algea off a few days ago now, retested today and my numbers are still reading zero. I'm using the API tests for now, planning to buy hanna tests soon and also waiting for my order of reef roids to come in the mail. I turned off my skimmer a few days ago. Only filtration going on in my sump is the filter sock.

Love seeing the babies. I have an 18mo old who is just figuring out what fish are haha. A Royale gramma and a wrasse would be great next additions IMO.
Funny you say that, I have my eye on a wrasse
I agree with Billy, a yellow corris wrasse would be nice. You can even use the library on this app to see what other people have and their reviews. I posted some myself :)

For an 80 gallon tank, 2 fish is not enough. I have a 80 gallon display with 15 medium and small sized fish (look at my profile). That amount of fish are required for me to have enough nutrients present for all the corals that are consuming them. At the beginning I only had one small clownfish and some mollies π , corals were not colorful and slowly dying, I had all kinds of algae. Then I added another 5 fish and within a week my corals regained color and slowly the algae died back. Now this doesnt mean that you should go and add another 10 fish, but find a balance where no3 and po4 are present, they dont have to be at a specific range for now. I would add maybe 2-3 more fish and see how it goes, test for nutrients and if they are still 0 after a few weeks, add more food, if that doesnt fix it, add more fish. The most important thing in this hobby is to be patient and to not mess with things a lot, let it stabilize on its own.
Thank you! That's what I'm thinking needs to happen now.
