Does anybody know what’s happening here to my Kenya?

Almost looks like it’s splitting apart and detaching itself?

Awesome pic! I’ve never had a Kenya Tree. But I do know Red Xenia will split off it branches to propagate elsewhere. Maybe the same thing?

Thanks Billy, online has suggested the same. Will try and frag it and see. Online forums are suggesting super glue but I’m hesitant on the toxicity of super glue. Any suggestions?

For a Kenya tree I would just let it fall off naturally and then hope for it to attach to a small rock. You could then glue that to a frag plug. Yes super glue is very standard and not harmful to your tank. Here’s a pic of the extra thick super glue I buy from BRS. The problem with soft corals is they don’t really stick to super glue that well because they are very fleshy/smily. The glue is mainly used for LPS and SPS that have a calcium structure to glue to.

I also read that an elastic band around the frag/rock also works. The Kenya is supposed to take hold within 2/3 days.

I have also heard that works. Never tried it myself though. You got this!

It's easier to use a rubber band to attach it to a rock...

If it's free floating you can always take an acrylic acclimation box fill the bottom with sand or crushed rubble rock untill it takes hold then release where you want it in the tank. This is my method for softies like zoas Kenya Tree and mushrooms !

This exact thing happened to mine. After a couple days the inflated part popped off and slimed onto another rock on the other side of the tank and went back to normal, I now have 2 of them. Congrats, it’s propagating itself 🎉

You were all right, it propagated itself overnight (UK) 🎉
