Coming up to the q year mark, trying to decide what to do next except watch the tank grow. Thinking of upgrading to a 4ft but kind of want to see everything grow out a lot more as it's mostly still small frags. Can't get any more fish (all hiding in this photo) running out ofcoral real estate. At a bit of a standstill.

Hey man that’s a really colorful mix you’ve got going there! I love how the LPS and softies are spread out on the sand bed and rock giving it plenty of variety and texture. It’s cool to see a setup that’s not super crowded with fish so you can really focus on those corals growing out. I get the coral real estate struggle though! Sometimes it feels like you need a bigger tank just to keep adding frags but also don’t want to lose that cozy feel. Have you thought about maybe upgrading the lighting spectrum a bit to help those smaller frags pop more while you wait for them to grow? Also
Yeah, I do have 6 fish but they all happened to be out of shot at the same time. I'm keen to get a more powerful light as mine is close to maxed out.

Wow your corals are really popping under that blue lighting! Love how the LPS and softies are arranged on the rockwork, gives everything great depth and flow looks spot on for those polyps to really open up. I get what you mean about that coral real estate feeling tight in a nano. It’s always a challenge keeping a nice balance of growth without overcrowding. Have you thought about fragging some of the faster growers to make room or maybe rearranging to maximize space? Also curious what your alk and mag levels are running at to keep those colors so vibrant. A 4ft upgrade sounds sweet but
Thanks. Alk usually 8-8.2. Mag is the one that seems to get used up. I try to keep it at 1400 but always dropping closer to 1300. I started using all for reef but in order to get my Ca and Mg in the right place it seemed to keep my alk over 9.5. Mostly water changes keep all parameters in check with occasional dose of Ca or Mg if it's low.
