I need to add
im unfortunately not a very good aquarium keeper, ive had a fresh water tank for a while now but im surprised its going, but i bought some corals for this salt water tank… way too early and their already dying, please dont judge me i was too excited and bought them impulsively. i will be attempting to save the ones i still got while i can but its gonna take a bit as i dont currently have a way to make money so its hard to buy stuff.

hang in there you got this
Hey I totally get the excitement of jumping into saltwater! Your rockscape looks like a solid start for some corals once you get the balance down. Maybe start with some hardy softies like Green Star Polyps to get your water parameters stable before adding anything too sensitive. You got this!
i do have a green star polyp in there! it just hasnt come out yet but ive heard thats normal so i hope its ok
Yeah that’s totally normal! They usually take a little time to settle in and start spreading out. Just keep an eye on
I did the same in the beginning. I also made a stupid mistake & killed all my fish early on. Hang in there, take it slow. I would say I was at the 1.5 year mark before things started to get more dialed in.

It happens. My first saltwater tank I bought $300 of coral and killed them all…rip. Coral don’t like newer tanks because they lack biodiversity and or nitrates to feed off of. I’d recommend adding your clownfish earlier. It will help add nitrates to your tank. Also if you can get a piece of livestock from a LFS. That would instantly boost your biodiversity and could add corals much faster.
wdym “piece of lifestock”?
Sorry. Meant live rock… a rock that has been in an established reef tank for awhile.
ohh ok, all the rock i have in there is live rock so i got that mostly covered
