girl same my has yet to open 😭 two weeks now
girl 2 weeks is insane I just want to see my coral 😭
My toadstool “sheds” randomly or if something’s off in my tank. But a different toadstool I have is always open and never sheds. My guess it depends on the individual. But I’d give it time it will open up eventually.
They are very hardy, how old is your tank what’s your parameters?
Hey, Your toadstool is likely adjusting to the tank. At the beginning as you nail down salinity, water quality, lighting etc it will likely become like this every now and then. It’s just adjusting to the new environment, likely induced by stress of moving tanks, but trust me there is nothing to worry about. After a few days if you see it start to look shiny or slimy, make sure it has enough flow to “shed” the slime coat. It can’t do it without enough flow. After it’s done shedding it will open back up. I’ve had 2 toadstools be covered in the dreaded dinoflagellates for 2 months and they are still thriving in my tank even after that. Toadstools are indestructible
It’s very normal and also depends on your environment. I bought on from a fish store and his wouldn’t open and he did a water change and I came back days later and his opened a lil but. I bought it took it home and acclimated it and next day or so it opened up. And sometimes it doesn’t open for a day then opened the next day. That’s normal
Don’t worry completely normal, I had plenty of them close for weeks and reopened like nothing was wrong.

My toadstool acted super stupid for several days after changing the tank lights to one that has more blue spectrum and didn’t open for several days, but now it is back to normal. They seem to be bullet proof
tysm it was giving me a heart attack
