Acabei de montar esse aquário de quarentena, é uma caixa de 20 galões. Acho bem que é veludo, mas eu acabei de comprar uma tang e ela trouxe um pouco de veludo pro meu aquário. É a primeira vez que posto aqui, mas o que vocês acham do tratamento que eu tô usando? Por favor, me dê sugestões 😬😄

Deu veludo no meu aquário e eu tive que colocar em quarentena todos os peixes que ainda estavam vivos… o tratamento que me recomendaram é cobre, mas não dose no aquário principal. Mantém corais e invertebrados só e espera 6-8 semanas pra colocar os peixes de volta. Dose o aquário de QT pelo mesmo período, senão você vai trazer de volta pro aquário principal. Veludo só vive se tiver peixe.
Just got velvet in my tank and I had to QT all the fish that were still alive…the treatment I got recommended is copper but don’t dose it in the main display. Keep corals and inverts only and wait 6-8 weeks to add the fish back. Dose the QT tank for the same period otherwise you’ll bring it back to the main display. Velvet only live if there’s fish.

Poxa, espero que seus peixes estejam bem agora. Eu coloquei todos eles no QT, menos um goby limpador (watchman) que eu tô com dificuldade pra pegar 🥲 mas acho que vou pedir um tratamento com cobre e torcer pro melhor. Obrigado
Oh no hope your fish are doing ok now. I have all of them in the qt except a watchman goby that I’ve had trouble catching 🥲but I think I’m going to order a copper treatment and hope for the best. Thank you

Não acho que herbtana seja uma cura eficaz. Eu acredito que ela só suprime os parasitas, então você teria que continuar usando no seu aquário principal enquanto tiver peixes, ou os parasitas podem voltar quando você parar. Também não gosto que seja uma fórmula proprietária, então a gente não sabe o que tem. Eu recomendaria tratar com cobre em vez de Herbtana.
I don't think herbtana is an effective cure. I believe it just suppresses the parasites so you'd have to continue using it in your display tank as long as you have fish, or the parasites could return once you stop. I also don't like that it's a proprietary formulation so we don't know what it contains. I'd recommend treating with copper rather than Herbtana.

Não tenho certeza. Eu não recomendaria misturar os remédios. Eu perguntaria no fórum que mencionei. Eles são bem conhecedores.
I'm not sure. I wouldn't recommend mixing the medications. I'd ask in the forum I mentioned. They are very knowledgeable.
