¡¡AYUDA URGENTE!! La semana pasada se murió un hammer, no pensé mucho en eso, pero ahora otro hammer de pared se ve medio mal, como el que se murió antes.
No se está abriendo del todo y dos partes están completamente retraídas y se ve súper infeliz. Por favor, cualquier y todas las sugerencias de cómo arreglar este problema se agradecen muchísimo y valen un montón
URGENT HELP!! I have had one hammer die last week, didn’t think too much of it but now another wall hammer is looking dodgy like that one was before it died.
It’s not opening up fully and two parts are completely retracted and looks extremely unhappy. Please any and all suggestions for how to fix this issue are appreciated and valued

Nitratos y fosfatos altos harán eso. Checa tu MG, CA y KH y asegúrate de que estén estables junto con tu pH 8.1 a 8.3. Si está más bajo, agregar CO2 ayudará a subirlo por tu skimmer. ¡Feliz reefing!
High nitrates and phosphate will do that. Check your MG, CA and KH make sure they are stable along side your Ph 8.1 to 8.3. If it’s lower, adding a CO2 will help increase through your skimmer. Happy Reefing

Oh ok, soy bastante nuevo en esto del reef y ando un poco inseguro, nomás sé los problemas grandes como BJD y la salinidad. Me lo revisan mañana en la mañana y necesito que esté resuelto para el jueves porque tengo un 24k gold torch que no se puede cancelar y no quiero tener broncas con eso seguro. Gracias por tu ayuda y te aviso cuál fue el problema.
Oh ok I’m decently new to reefing and am a bit unsure I just know the big issues like BJD and salinity. I’m getting it checked tomorrow morning and need it sorted by Thursday cause I have a non cancelable 24k gold torch and don’t want any issues with that for sure. Thanks for your help and I’ll let you know what the issue was.

Sí, yo manejo low tech, tengo la mayoría de filtración biológica en ambos acuarios y no me meto mucho con eso.

¿Tienes reactores de medios funcionando? Phosguard ayuda con fosfatos altos y los nitratos también se pueden controlar.
Do you have media reactors running? Phosguard will help with high phosphates and nitrates can be controlled as well.

Gran fuente para agregar. Por cómo se ven tus corales, sí parece que es por nitratos y fosfatos altos, amigo. Definitivamente checa los parámetros del agua y asegúrate de que estén dentro de los ppm recomendados. La iluminación PAR es importante; algunos aguantan PAR más bajo, otros requieren más luz, así que la colocación del coral es súper importante para que no se quemen.
Great source to add. The way your corals are looking it looks like high nitrates and phosphate mate. Definitely test water parameters and ensure they are with in recommend ppm. PAR lighting is important, while some thrive on lower PARS other require more lighting so coral placement is extremely important so you don’t burn them out.

Entonces nomás me lo acabo de checar y el alk estaba solo en 5.8 dKH, así que definitivamente va a ser que los nitratos y el fosfato estaban perfectamente en rango
So I just got it tested the alk was only 5.8dKH so definitely gonna be that nitrates and phos were perfectly in range

¿Cuánto te marcó el fosfato y los nitratos? 5.8 es súper bajo y pone en riesgo a los corales. Sobre todo los SPS y algunos corales LPS
What did your phosphates and nitrates read at. 5.8 is extremely low and put corals at risk. Specially SPS and some LPS corals

O sea, el sistema es solo LPS y Softies; el único problema ahorita son los hammers. El nitrato estaba en 17 y el fosfato en 0.1
So the system is LPS and Softies only the only issue rn is the hammers. Nitrate was 17 and phos was 0.1

Está en el rango alto. Este sistema es 90% softies y el resto hammer so entonces el fosfato más alto no es tan alarmante si está estable.

Yo dudaba de la salinidad pero la chequé y estaba en rango, como en 34ppt. La alcalinidad todavía no la puedo checar, pero la voy a checar y voy a hacerlo lo más pronto posible con mi LFS.
I doubted salinity but I checked it and it was in range around 34ppt. Alk I can’t check yet but I will be checking it and my LFS ASAP.
