¿Un dip de Red Sea coral dipX puede matar al torch? Lo compré hace un par de días y ya estoy perdiendo 2 cabezas. Mi otro torch está prosperando, así que no sé por qué ese no va bien
Can Red Sea coral dipX kill the torch? I got it a couple days ago and I’m already losing 2 heads. My other torch is thriving so not sure why that one is not doing that good

A veces parece que… pero en realidad es que aún no está ajustado. Puede tardar 3-5 días.

Cualquier dip puede matar corales. Prefiero los dips con yodo. O Reef Primer. Dip X va genial para plagas, pero no tanto para tejido que se está muriendo o infecciones
Any dip can kill coral. I prefer iodine dips. Or Reef Primer. Dip X works great for pests but not so much for dying tissue or infection

Los torches estaban llenos de planarias, por eso. Si se ven bien y no hay plaga visible, normalmente los dippeo después de que se hayan aclimatado al acuario.
The torches were full of flatworms that’s why. If they look fine with no visible pest I usually dip them after they got acclimated to the tank.

Cualquier factor que añada estrés al torch, ya sea: el dip, la luz, la corriente, los parámetros del agua, la temperatura, etc... puede matar al torch. Intenta averiguar qué causa el estrés y elimínalo.
Every factor that add stress to the torch, be it: dipping, light, flow, water parameters, temp. etc... can kill the torch. Try to figure out what causes the stress and eliminate it.
Seguro que fue el envío + el dip. Literalmente metí 3 nuevos torches el mismo día que los dippeé a todos y, en cuestión de horas, empezaron a perder cabezas... qué pena, pero al menos aquí en Indonesia hay un montón a un precio muy barato 😅
For sure it was the shipping + the dip. I literally added 3 new torches on that same day that I dipped all of them and within hours they started losing heads…very sad but at least here in Indonesia there’s plenty of them at a very cheap price 😅
