¿Algún consejo para reubicar una anémona de flor de roca? Lleva tiempo sofocando mis zoas… hoy se los está tomando del todo. Le tengo el wavemaker apuntándole a ver si se mueve. A lo mejor también intento sacar el frag de zoa y alejarlo
Any tips to relocate a Rock flower anenome? He’s been slowly smothering my zoas… today is totally taking them over. I have the wavemaker blasting on him to make him move. Might also tey prying the Zoa frag off and moving away

Si puedes sacar su roca, cuélgala boca abajo por encima del agua, sin tocar. ¡Me funcionó genial! Tardó como 10-15 min y se soltó de la roca
If you can take his rock out hang him upside down over the water, not touching. Worked great for me! Took about 10-15 mins and he let go of the rock.

¡Gracias, chicos! Es un bicho súper cabezota… Le mantuve un cubito de hielo en la pata un par de minutos… se encogió hacia atrás, no terminaba de soltar del todo. Pero se movió lo suficiente como para que pudiera intentar quitar mi frag de zoa y se salió más fácil de lo que esperaba, así que la voy a mover a una zona más segura
Thanks guys! He’s such a stubborn thing… I held an ice cube on the foot for a couple minutes… he shrunk back, wouldn’t let totally go. He moved enough tho that I had a shot at trying to remove my Zoa frag and it came off easier than I expected so I’ll be moving it to safer area

¡Joder, esa leather pulsando se ve enorme y súper sana! He tenido buena suerte moviendo anémonas de flor de roca haciendo palanca con cuidado para desprenderlas con una tarjeta de plástico fina, pero tienes que tener cuidado de no rasgar el tejido. El truco del cubito de hielo también es clave porque las hace relajarse y aflojar. Yo también intentaría mover las zoas a un sitio con menos corriente o reordenar la roca para que la anémona no pueda trepar tan fácil. ¡Por cierto, esos pólipos de candy cane son preciosos! ¿Cómo llevas últimamente la alcalinidad y el calcio? A veces un buen equilibrio de alk y calc ayuda a que las anémonas se relajen un poco. Cuéntanos qué tal
Man that pulsating leather looks huge and super healthy! I’ve had good luck moving rock flower anemones by gently prying them off with a thin plastic card but you gotta be careful not to tear the tissue. The ice cube trick is clutch too since it makes them relax their grip. I’d also try moving the zoas to a spot with less flow or rearranging the rock so the anemone can’t creep over as easy. Those candy cane polyps are gorgeous by the way! How’s your alkalinity and calcium holding up lately? Sometimes a solid alk and calc balance helps the anemones chill out a bit. Keep us posted how

¡Gracias! Algunos de mis corales han tenido un subidón de crecimiento últimamente. Durante un tiempo luché con el equilibrio del calcio, la alcalinidad y el magnesio, pero desde que cambié a dosificar con All For Reef, todo se mantiene bastante consistente y luego empecé a ver cambios positivos en los corales. Las trompetas pensé que las había perdido, pero han vuelto y se han cuadruplicado de tamaño. Tengo ganas de ver si empiezan a sacar nuevos crecimientos pronto. Sí, mover esa anémona ha sido el reto; no quería moverse por nada y su pata está tan metida en el hueco de abajo que tenía miedo de dañarla, así que dejé que ganara esa batalla y pude quitar mi frag de zoa y lo voy a pegar en algún sitio más seguro y lejos. 😜
Thanks!! Some of my corals had a major growth spurt lately. I struggled for a while with the calcium, alk and mag balance, but since switching to All For Reef dosing, it’s all holding pretty consistent and then I started to see positive changes in the corals. The trumpets I thought I had lost but they have come back and quadrupled in size. Hoping to see them start some new growths soon. Yeah moving that anemone has been the challenge, he didn’t want to move for anything and his foot is so far deep in the bottom alcove that I was afraid of damaging him, so I let him win that battle and was able to remove my Zoa frag and will be glueing it somewhere safer and far away! 😜
