Description

The Nearly Naked Clownfish, also known as the Naked Clownfish, is a unique and striking variant of the regular Clownfish. This fish is known for its bold, bright orange coloration, which is offset by a single white stripe located just behind the eyes. The 'nearly naked' name comes from the fact that this fish lacks the additional white stripes found in most other Clownfish species.

Reef Safe?

Yes

Environment

Nearly Naked Clownfish require a tank with plenty of hiding places, as well as open swimming space. They are a tropical species and prefer warmer water temperatures. They are adaptable and can thrive in a variety of saltwater tank setups, but they do particularly well in reef environments.

Behavior

Nearly Naked Clownfish are known for their active and entertaining behavior. They are social creatures that often form symbiotic relationships with sea anemones in the wild. In a tank environment, they are likely to form a 'home base' in a specific part of the tank, which they will defend vigorously.
