Description

The Peacock Leopard Wrasse is a beautifully colored saltwater fish that is native to the waters of the Indo-Pacific. It has a slender, elongated body with a pointed snout. Its body is covered in a pattern of spots and stripes that vary in color from blue, green, red, and yellow.

Reef Safe?

Yes. However, it may eat small invertebrates and crustaceans.

Environment

The Peacock Leopard Wrasse requires a tank with plenty of swimming space and a sandy substrate for burrowing. It also needs plenty of hiding spots among live rock formations.

Behavior

This species is known for its peaceful nature and can be a great addition to a community tank. It spends most of its time swimming in the open water, but will retreat to the sand bed when it feels threatened or at night.
