Description

The Purple Tang, also known as the Yellowtail Sailfin Tang, Blue Surgeonfish, or the Blue Caribbean Tang, is a vibrant, deep purple colored fish with a yellow tail, found mainly in the Red Sea. This fish is popular among aquarists due to its striking color and active nature.

Environment

This species prefers a well-lit tank with plenty of hiding spots and live rock for grazing. They thrive in water temperatures between 72 and 78 degrees Fahrenheit.

Got my tang with bad case of ich. With proper treatment and care sheโ€™s loving life in my 175g beautiful as ever. Little bossy and aggressive but I have several other tangs so as expected.
