Description
The Vlamingii Tang, also known as the Vlaming's Unicornfish, is a saltwater fish that is known for its striking appearance and unique horn-like protrusion on its head. This fish is characterized by its vibrant blue color with a mix of green and yellow hues. It is a highly active swimmer and requires a large tank to accommodate its size and energy level.
Reef Safe?
Yes, but with caution. While the Vlamingii Tang is generally safe for reef aquariums, it may nip at soft and stony polyp corals, as well as certain invertebrates.
Environment
The Vlamingii Tang prefers a tank with plenty of hiding spaces and open areas for swimming. It thrives in a well-lit tank with a strong current to mimic its natural habitat. It is also crucial to maintain a clean tank as this species is prone to diseases in poor water conditions.
Behavior
This species is known to be semi-aggressive. While it can coexist with other fish, it may show territorial behavior, especially towards other Tangs. It is a highly active swimmer and requires plenty of space to move around.

Seeing this fish and how large they get is truly amazing, what they lack in color they make up in personality as they are a very social fish. The one my dad and I kept tended to be pretty aggressive so keep this in mind.
