Vor etwa 2 Wochen habe ich Weiß um das Maul dieses kleineren Clownfisches bemerkt. Es wird langsam immer schlimmer. Der größere Clownfisch ist fast 4 Jahre alt und ich habe diese beiden vor etwa 3 Monaten zusammen geparcelt.
Laut Google sagen einige, es könnte vom Stechen oder von Aggression des größeren Clowns kommen. Ich habe nichts, das stechen kann, außer Borstenwürmern. Ich habe noch nie Aggression von diesem Paar gesehen, aber könnte natürlich passieren, wenn ich weg bin.
Beide Clowns scheinen sich normal zu verhalten und fressen normal.
Ich habe den kleinen gerade in einem 15g Quarantänebecken isoliert. Ich habe ein paar Medikamente vorrätig. Maracyn, Metroplex, Kanaplex und Paraguard. Ich tendiere zu Maracyn oder Kanaplex. Ich würde gerne hören, ob jemand Gedanken hat oder etwas Ähnliches gesehen hat.

I noticed white around the mouth of this smaller clownfish about 2 weeks ago. It has slowly been getting worse. The bigger clowfish is almost 4 years old and I paired these two up about 3 months ago.
From googling some say stinging or aggression from the bigger clown. I dont really have anything that can sting except bristle worms. I have never seen aggression from this pair but I guess could happen when I’m away.
Both clowns seems to be behaving fine and are eating normally.
I just isolated the small one in a 15g quarantine tank. I have a few drugs on hand. Maracyn, Metroplex, Kanaplex and paraguard. Was leaning towards Maracyn or Kanaplex. I’d love to hear if anyone has thoughts or seen something similar.

Das glaube ich nicht. Ich habe gehört, dass Brook innerhalb weniger Tage tötet. Er hat das mindestens zwei Wochen lang und verhält sich normal. Ich lehne mich mehr zu Schäden durch Kämpfe zwischen den Clowns oder eine Pilzinfektion. Obwohl ich noch keine Ahnung habe haha
I don’t believe so. I’ve heard brook kills within a few days. He’s had this for at least two weeks and is acting normal. I’m leaning toward damage from the clowns fighting or fungal infection. Though I have no idea yet hah

Möglich. Ich denke, ich gehe mit einer Kombi aus Maracyn und ParaGuard (es sei denn, jemand sagt mir was anderes). Die Medis kommen erst morgen an. Ich habe diese Kombi schon mal erfolgreich verwendet, um weiße Flecken auf den Seiten meines Anthias zu behandeln.
Possibly. I think I’m going to go with a combo of Maracyn and ParaGuard (unless someone says otherwise. The meds don’t arrive until tomorrow) . I used this combo to successfully treat white patches on the sides of my Anthias a while back.

Behandle auf jeden Fall auf bakteriell und beobachte, wie es sich entwickelt. Das Knifflige hier ist, dass diese Infektion das Fressen verhindert und der Stress schnell genug sinken muss, damit er nicht verhungert. Ich würde auch die Beleuchtung in seinem Quarantänebecken ausschalten, wenn du ihn nicht gerade beobachtest.
Definitely treat for bacterial and watch to see how it progresses. The kicker here this infection prevents eating the swelling and stress needs to come down fast enough he doesn't starve. I'd also kill the lights on his quarantine tank when your not observing him.

Es scheint tatsächlich zu wachsen. Im Grunde sagen alle Behandlungen, die ich habe, bakteriell und pilzig. Kanaplex, Maracyn und ParaGuard haha. Ich weiß nicht, ob es eines gibt, das du lieber magst oder benutzt hast?
It does seem to be growing. Basically all the treatments I have say bacterial and fungal. Kanaplex, Maracyn and ParaGuard haha. Idk if there’s one you prefer or have used?

Ich würde Nitrofurazon und Metroplex/Focus mit Futter versuchen.
Id try nitrofurazone and metroplex/focus w food.

Gut zu wissen. Gerade dieses Trio per Post bekommen. Ich starte heute Abend Kanaplex, da ich denke, dass eine Pilzinfektion möglich ist. Und dann morgen möglicherweise Metro/Focus. Ich wechsle die Tage ab, da beide jeden zweiten Tag dosiert werden.
Good to know. Just got this trio in the mail. I’m gonna start Kanaplex tonight as I think fungal is possible. And then possibly metro/focus tomorrow. Going to alternate days as they both are dosed every other day.

Du willst Focus auch mit Kanaplex mischen. Eigentlich kannst du beide mit Focus mischen, ein Gefrierfutter und den Rest für morgen im Kühlschrank lagern. Aber das Nitrofurazon hilft, die Beschwerden zu lindern und bei eventuellen Wunden zu helfen.
You want to mix the focus with kanaplex too. In fact you can mix them both w focus, one frozen food and refrigerate rest for tomorrow's. But the nitrofurazone will help sooth and ease dealing with any soreness.

Alles klar. Auf dem Focus steht Wirkstoff: Nitrofurantoin (0,1%). Meintest du damit Nitrofurazon oder ist das etwas anderes?
