Hi. I have an issue with high calcium in my nano tank. Do you have any suggestions or recommendations on how to reduce it? Or should I just leave it alone?

No tengo experiencia con eso. ¿Ofrecen una mezcla con calcio más bajo? Tuve que cambiar de Instant Ocean naranja a púrpura y desde entonces va perfecto. 👌🏼
I have no experience with that stuff. Do they offer a lower calcium mix? I had to switch from orange instant ocean to purple and it’s been perfect since. 👌🏼

Yo también uso All For Reef y la alcalinidad definitivamente se retrasa en aparecer en un test. Es un formato de calcio que se convierte en alcalinidad por bacterias. En un sistema establecido puede tardar varios días en ver un aumento en el test, al menos eso ha sido con mi sistema.
I use All For Reef too and the alkalinity is definitely delayed in showing up on a test. It's a calcium formate converted to alkalinity by bacteria. On an established system it can take several days to see an increase show up on a test, at least that's how it's been with my system.

Tengo agua de pozo. Bueno, agua de manantial de pozo. Vivo en el noreste de Tennessee en las montañas y testé mi agua RO antes de añadir sal y estaba alta en calcio. Es bastante gracioso. Todos los filtros nuevos en mi unidad RO de 4 etapas
I have well water. Actually spring well water. I live in north east Tennessee in the mountains and I tested my rodi water before adding salt and it was high in calcium. Kinda funny. All new filters on 4 stage rodi unit

High calc can probs be chill if alk and mag are stable tho. Maybe dial down dosing a bit?

Gotcha! Maybe try easing up on the AFR dosing a bit and see if that helps calm the calc down. Sometimes less

Yo también estoy de acuerdo con el otro tío porque tengo la sensación de que la alcalinidad del AFR es retrasada o no sale en el test como me ha pasado muchas veces usando AFR incluso un mes después pero tiende a mostrar calcio mientras que la alk sigue baja en los tests así que sí, yo lo bajaría como dijo el otro tío y lo dejaría reposar un tiempo y esperemos que la alk aparezca
I also agree with the other guy as I have a feeling the AFR alkalinity is delayed or not showing up on test as I’ve had it happen many times when stating AFR even a month later but tends to show calcium while alk remains low on tests so yeah I would lower it as the other guy said and let it sit for awhile and hopefully alk will show up
Yo también tengo este problema. Mi calcio anda por los 480. Quería dosificar AFR por la facilidad pero ya que mi calcio está alto solo dosfico Brightwell Alkalin8.3 y Brightwell Magnesion.
I have this issue too. My calc is about 480. I wanted to dose afr for the ease of it but since my calc is up I just dose brightwell alkalin8.3 and brightwell magnesion.
