Not aptasia. I believe it’s a ball anemone

I’ll look into those thanks for the reply. Was a little freaked out after dealing with zoa spiders just before I seen this.

isn't it a Feather Dustur, because those also retract immediately with even the slightest movements

User Avatar @JMann 20d

I looked into those as well and that is a strong possibility, it has a tube that runs under a small piece of shell some zoas are on. I’ve had them for a month now but moved them up today due to them need more light. And that’s when I seen it. It was in the sand bed prior.

ugh maybe aiptasia 😬

I think it is a feather duster because I’ve had them grow in my tank and they look exactly like that.

User Avatar @JMann 20d

I’m kinda leaning toward the duster as well. The tentacles are very rigid and not flowy at all.

I think that is a feather duster. They are harmless filter feeders!! Nice.😊

Feather duster for sure. Especially if it has a long tube.

No that is a feather worm

User Avatar @AJN771 20d

Sometimes called fan worms

Feather duster. Aiptasia don’t have tubes, especially not calcium carbonate tubes.
