The picture is a golden angel. I’ve had mine for over 5 months granted it’s a Biota and it’s been good as gold 😂. I crack myself up… sorry. But I’ve personally loved her since I saw her. LFS had bought it for their tank but it wasn’t doing well in their tank so they brought it in and the angel sat there for about 3 months until we finally bought her. I personally would choose the golden angel over a coral beauty every time IF it’s a biota.

In my case they are both wild caught…I’ve been reading that if introduced as a small juveniles they both can behave in a mixed reef. I guess the challenge is to make the golden angel eat

Not necessarily eating but less of a coral risk since Biota raises them strictly on pellets and frozen meaning it’s never seen a coral in all of its life

If you did go with the coral beauty then you should definitely get a Biota, they aren’t much more expensive then a normal one last time I checked

Problem is that where I live we don’t have aquacultured fish…

Hmmm… that’s a tough predicament. I would do the coral beauty then, a lot less likely to eat coral than a wild caught golden angel

Oh really? Thought it would be the other way around

To my understanding more people have had success with the coral beauty than the golden angel. I wouldn’t say it’s that much more of a difference but I’ve definitely heard about more coral beauties eating coral however the sample size is much larger than the golden angels since it’s a slightly more rare species. If you want the lower risk of eating coral, you should go with the coral beauty though since it’s like a 80% they leave coral alone. The golden angel isn’t that much more risky, maybe 10% more likely. It’s kind of preference but the lower risk is the coral beauty
