Check your water parameters
Okay. Will do. Thank you.
Your tank looks really new, is it seeded with live bacteria? Xenia can handle a good bit of ammonia but too much would be toxic, I would second the notion of testing your parameters and guaranteeing that ammonia is converted to nitrites and into nitrates, if not I would add live rock/microbacter7/live sand, heck if there’s a reefer with detritus you could even seed your tank with it (make sure they have no pests). Gl!
Thank you! I did check my parameters and the alkalinity was 11 😩, so I took the advice here and did a water change and also checked for magnesium level, it was also out of wack as well according to my LRS who tested everything for me to make sure I wasn’t going crazy . Thank you so much everyone !
Probably low nitrates or phosphates. Id feed extra heavy for a few days, frozen if possible and see if that helps.
Have you dosed iodine, and they seem to be closed for a separate reason, mine will opene but not pulse when they’re out of iodine usually. Check ur parameters.
I’ve never dosed iodine, I’ll check it out.
Here are the parameters
Hey @CaliReef1, looking at your parameters, your salinity and magnesium are low. If I were you I would SLOWLY raise salinity to 1.025 (or wherever you want it) before attempting to handle alk, nitrate, or magnesium. Your parameters are all linked together through chemical and biological processes in the tank. Attempting to change more than one at once or changing too fast can lead to a tank crash or to unexpected results. Take it slow and remember that everyone makes mistakes and has killed or hurt their prize corals before. You got this
Up your salinity also looks like you need more water circulation. When I see Xenia at that stage they usually melt away. Hopefully you caught this in time.

Idk it doesn’t look like it’s open
