Alguma dica pra realocar uma anêmona de flor de pedra? Ele tá devorando minhas zoas aos poucos… hoje tá literalmente tomando conta. Tô com o water pump jogando força nele pra ele se mexer. Talvez eu tente também descolar a muda da zoa e levar pra longe
Any tips to relocate a Rock flower anenome? He’s been slowly smothering my zoas… today is totally taking them over. I have the wavemaker blasting on him to make him move. Might also tey prying the Zoa frag off and moving away

Se você conseguir tirar a pedra dele, coloca ele de cabeça pra baixo, por cima da água, sem encostar. Funcionou muito bem pra mim! Leva uns 10-15 min e ele soltou a pedra.
If you can take his rock out hang him upside down over the water, not touching. Worked great for me! Took about 10-15 mins and he let go of the rock.

Valeu, pessoal! Ele é uma coisa teimosa… segurei um cubinho de gelo no pé por uns minutos… ele recuou, não quis soltar totalmente. Mas ele se moveu o suficiente pra eu conseguir tentar remover minha muda de zoa e ela saiu mais fácil do que eu esperava, então vou levar pra uma área mais segura
Thanks guys! He’s such a stubborn thing… I held an ice cube on the foot for a couple minutes… he shrunk back, wouldn’t let totally go. He moved enough tho that I had a shot at trying to remove my Zoa frag and it came off easier than I expected so I’ll be moving it to safer area

Caramba, essa leather que fica pulsando tá enorme e super saudável! Eu tive boa sorte realocando anêmonas flor de pedra soltando elas com cuidado com um cartão plástico fino, mas tem que ter cuidado pra não rasgar o tecido. O truque do gelo também é certeiro porque faz elas relaxarem a pegada. Eu também tentaria mover as zoas pra um lugar com menos corrente ou reorganizar a pedra pra anêmona não conseguir rastejar por cima tão fácil. Esses polipinhos de candy cane são lindos, aliás! Como estão sua alcalinidade e cálcio ultimamente? Às vezes um bom equilíbrio de alk e calc ajuda as anêmonas a ficarem mais tranquilas. Vai atualizando
Man that pulsating leather looks huge and super healthy! I’ve had good luck moving rock flower anemones by gently prying them off with a thin plastic card but you gotta be careful not to tear the tissue. The ice cube trick is clutch too since it makes them relax their grip. I’d also try moving the zoas to a spot with less flow or rearranging the rock so the anemone can’t creep over as easy. Those candy cane polyps are gorgeous by the way! How’s your alkalinity and calcium holding up lately? Sometimes a solid alk and calc balance helps the anemones chill out a bit. Keep us posted how

Valeu!! Alguns dos meus corais tiveram um pico de crescimento recentemente. Tive dificuldade um tempo pra acertar o equilíbrio de cálcio, alk e magnésio, mas depois que comecei a dosar All For Reef, tudo tá ficando bem consistente e aí comecei a ver mudanças positivas nos corais. As trombetas que eu achei que tinha perdido voltaram e multiplicaram de tamanho, tipo quadruplicaram. Tomara que logo comecem a nascer novos crescimentos. Sim, realocar essa anêmona foi o desafio: ele não queria se mexer por nada e o pé dele tá tão fundo no canto lá embaixo que eu fiquei com medo de machucar, então deixei ele vencer essa batalha e consegui remover minha muda de zoa. Vou colar em um lugar mais seguro e bem longe! 😜
Thanks!! Some of my corals had a major growth spurt lately. I struggled for a while with the calcium, alk and mag balance, but since switching to All For Reef dosing, it’s all holding pretty consistent and then I started to see positive changes in the corals. The trumpets I thought I had lost but they have come back and quadrupled in size. Hoping to see them start some new growths soon. Yeah moving that anemone has been the challenge, he didn’t want to move for anything and his foot is so far deep in the bottom alcove that I was afraid of damaging him, so I let him win that battle and was able to remove my Zoa frag and will be glueing it somewhere safer and far away! 😜
