Power went out last night tank dropped to 72°. Just got my tank and fridge hooked up to a generator.

I’m only worried about keeping the return pump and heater on. The lights and everything else are not a necessity. Hope the power comes back soon. All is good and no need to panic 🙂

What is everyone doing for backup power? I have a generator for when I'm here to hook up, but what is everyone doing if your not home? If I'm at work and the power goes out to get me until I get home. I was looking at the eco flow Delta 2 to run my return pump and heater. Will the Delta 2 automatically switch to battery if power goes out? My tank is only 20 gallons so it looses heat fast.

In light of a recent post I saw where someone’s heater cooked the tank, I wanted to share some preventative measures I’ve taken and may help others.

Smart thermometer to see temp anywhere and kasa smart plugs to remote turn on/off allows me to turn this off as soon as the tank gets out of my “normal”
