Hi guys and girls, here is a little update of my tank. After the take over, I was very excited to start the hobby, and I know it's going to be difficult. But the former owner had something wrong in the sump, so the parameters were going all the way off. I finally found the problem and solved it with a daily water change.
I am happy everything held strong through this hard time. Unfortunately, two snails have not made it.
And the candy coral is one head bleaching; the rest is doing great, they open nicely, and some of them seem to grow.
Tomorrow I am going to do the last water change, and in a couple of days, I hope everything is going in the right way again.
Does anyone have any tips for helping recover a bubble tip anemone that's purged all its photosynthetic algae

I’m new to saltwater. Got a condylactis anemone about a week ago and it seemed to be doing good. I noticed it started moving from one corner of my tank to another yesterday and when I saw it this morning around 9am it was like the first picture. Seemed to be shrinking. Now it looks like the second. Does anyone know what is going on? Could it be dead or is there any way to save it?
Lots of changes. Went through temperature spike and stressed my SPS and fishes. Backup temp control with cooling fan added. Firefish didn’t survive and was replaced. Corals are on their way back from the dead. Added bunch of new corals since. Now well into ugly stage.
I have had my anemones, for about 8 months now, do you guys think they’re healthy?
Welp my tank crashed killed 90% of my corals due to excessive heat but I’ll come back, picked up a frostbite I believe (can someone confirm?) fella is sooo fire tho
Here’s an update… lost about $100+ worth of corals but you know how it is you come back harder!!
I need some help… my anemone isn’t thriving. Everything else seems happy but its tentacles are short and it doesn’t eat shrimp I hand feed it.
