Hey guys, im a month in with my first nano (80l) and hitting a bit of trouble which id love some advice on.
Currently no fish, but added 4 trochus snails 10 days ago to start getting some life in there once cycle was complete.
My LFS recommended adding 2 bags of copepods and 2ml of phytoplankton once a week whilst we don't have fish to (i think) speed up algae growth.
For the last 5/6 days the water has looked a bit cloudy and nitrates have dropped from 18 to around 2 or 3. Chat GPT is saying it could be a bacterial bloom.

Just started my first Phytoplankton culture working with Reef by Steele. He’s been awesome. We decided on a Single Strain Phytoplankton Diatom Cheatoceros Muelleri that will help with my diatom issue and feed my copepods.
My new copepod and phytoplankton culture set up. I've got Tisbe, Tiggers and Apocyclops. I am trying the miracle grow method for the phyto. Fingers crossed.

Sandbed is finally clearing up. I’ve been dealing with an extremely dirty sandbed for many months. I added nassarius snails, 4 jars of copedpods, feeding phyto daily, and added AquaForest Life Source over. All with the goal of growing bio diversity in the tank and pretty happy with the progress so far.
Hey! I am needing help/advice in raising nutrients in my tank.
I got an established 65g tank & 15g sump off marketplace a few weeks ago. It came with clowns and some different mushroom corals. When I set it up, only took about 5 days to cycle again. My corals are growing, I actually have a lot of new growth from them despite having low nutrients. I also have new coralline algea growth. I've only done one 15% water change in hopes to raise calcium and magnesium levels. Added eco pods and feed them phytoplankton every day to help with the ugly stage. Ugly brown detrius went away but now I'm left with green hair algea, the algea isn't spreading but what is there has been growing. Any advice?? I feed my clowns 2-3× a day
Thank you! ❤️
