Hi guys. Im new in the hobby. I need some guidance. I have a 70 gallons acuarium with skimmer, sump system, plenty of media in the sump, overflow system, CO2 reactor and a whisper hang on back filter. All parameters are good except for nitrates which has been a battle since I started the tank almost a year ago. I did a 35% water change about a week ago, but a week later nitrates when up to 80. Any guidance?

Need help. Here’s my 75 gallon reef with 3 aihydra’s, 2 mp40’s, and a 20 gallon sump with a reef octo skimmer. How does everything look? Happy? Good flow? Recommendations. I’m still new to this so trying to figure it out along the way.
As aperson new to this hobby, I found this video extremely helpful. It is about flow but also explains how sumps work and how the sumps should look.

Hey everyone I am new to this hobby and I already love it. Any tips? those who have the Fluval Marine 13.5, what do you recommend i put in the chambers? I have a heater, and some ceramic jems but besides that everything else is stock. Any ideas?
I waited last minute and washed all my filter socks yesterday and am now going sockless on the sump while they air dry outside for a few days. I washed them with a cap full of bleach and ran them through an extra rinse. Would it be okay to rinse one out with RO water to get any chlorine out so I can put one back in the sump or not a good idea?
