How do I deal with hydriods? I’ve tried coral RX and toothbrushing it but nothings worked. (Not my photo but looks identical and placement of being in the polyps is the same may even be the same Zoa type)
Does anyone have an idea how to get rid of Dinoflagellates? They keep coming back. I’ve started dosing Dino X, but it’s affecting my water quality—my pH just keeps dropping.
Has anyone had any success with this? I’ve been battling cyano off and on since February, made changes to flow, reduced coral feeding frequency, stabilized nitrates, etc and I’m still battling it. I have Chemicleqn but been afraid to use it and was holding out as a last resort. I’m planning on trying it this weekend then I saw this when I was getting some other supplies.
Hi Everyone. I feel like I have an Amphipod outbreak. They’re literally everywhere and there are some really large ones. I feel like eventually they’re going to run out of food because of their population. Does anyone have any recommendations on what to do? I feel like they need to be some fishes prey, but don’t want to wipe them out. I want balance, not extermination. Thanks in advance for any advice. I’d love to hear if someone has a good story about this topic.
Fighting another bout of Cyano, not as bad as the first one few weeks ago but still frustrated it came back. This round I’m adding a protein skimmer this week and also starting to question upgrading my wavemaker. I seem to be getting some dead spots despite changing the wavemaker positions so not sure if I need something stronger? I have a 1500gph Hygger DC, and considering upgrading to an AI Nero 3, which is what I initially wanted but hesitated bc of price. Any thoughts?
