Thinking about upgrading to my first big tank. I know y'all see my nano, but my main question is how are y'all sourcing saltwater for these 50+ gallon tanks? Is it expensive/complex to have your own RO system?
Cleaning up equipment to start the new tank. How would you guys clean all these items?
Wanted to show the uglies. I feel like every one shows their tanks from the best possible angle after a deep clean, which is totally understandable. This is a 3 and a half month tank after a full week without maintanance. What do you think?
tank post cleaning and with new nano gyre installed. corals and fish are thrilled.
My tank is done seam busted I’m so devastated
My tank is thriving I haven’t done a water change in about 4 months once I got my water stable I stopped doing water changes and everything started doing great
thought I’d share a little tribulation I went through. went to do my maintenance a few weeks ago and noticed the acrylic wall that separates the front from the rear compartments of my AIO became separated. I freaked out. called store and the manufacturer. they said I’d have to replace. Couldn’t wrap my head around how to do that but with some patient advice and careful planning, the warranty replacement came and I did the transfer. Used a couple of huge storage bins. It was tedious but not hard, and I got through it with no deaths! They said they only see this flaw happen in 2 out of 1000 tanks they sell. Of course it was me.
Life’s been hectic since my daughter was born in May but thankfully the lagoon is still [mostly] running smooth 😅

Hey guys trying to make a hidden panel with magnets. The ones I got are not strong enough the door keeps falling off. Any suggestions for what magnets are the best?
