Description
Cycloseris, commonly known as plate or disk coral, is a solitary, free-living coral found in various regions of the Indo-Pacific. These corals are known for their circular, flat shape and vibrant colors, ranging from bright oranges and pinks to greens and browns. They are often found on sandy substrates or rubble in reef environments. Cycloseris corals are photosynthetic and rely on symbiotic zooxanthellae for nutrition, but they can also capture planktonic food particles.
