How do I set up reef tank maintenance reminders?
Use an app that repeats tasks for you. In ReefBay, a free reef tank app, you create a maintenance task such as a water change, filter sock swap or alkalinity test, set it to repeat every few days or on chosen weekdays, and pick a reminder time. ReefBay sends a push notification when it is due and keeps a history of what you completed.

What is a good reef tank maintenance schedule?
Daily: check temperature, equipment and feeding. Weekly: test alkalinity, nitrate, phosphate and salinity, clean the glass and empty the skimmer cup. Every one to two weeks: change 10 to 20 percent of the water. Monthly: replace filter media, clean pumps and check dosing containers.
How often should I do a water change on a reef tank?
Most reef tanks do well with 10 to 20 percent every one to two weeks. Tanks with heavy fish loads or high nitrate may need more; low-nutrient SPS tanks sometimes need less.
Can I set reminders for more than one tank?
Yes. Every task belongs to a tank, so each system has its own schedule.
Can ReefBay remind me to test my water?
Yes. Create a testing task, such as "Test alkalinity" every 3 days, and log the results in the parameter tracker when the reminder fires.
