Ich frag mich, ob ihr mir helfen könnt.
Mein Becken verbraucht im Moment KH wie verrückt. Werte wie ich sie noch nie gesehen habe.
Ich dosiere gerade Red Sea Foundation B (Bild unten), zusammen mit Foundation A und C.
Meine Frage: Gibt es eine günstigere Alternative im UK mit der gleichen Qualität? Oder weiß jemand einen Grund, warum die KH so schnell sinkt?
Zum Vergleich: Ich halte die KH gerne bei 10 und dosiere etwa 212ml pro Woche, um diesen Level zu halten! (via automatische tägliche Dosierung von 30ml)

My tank at the moment is using KH like you wouldn’t believe. Levels I have never seen before.
I am currently dosing Red Sea Foundation B (image below), alongside foundation A and C.
My question, Is there a cheaper alternative available in the UK with the same quality? Or would anyone know a reason as to why the KH is depleting so quickly?
For reference, I like to keep the KH around 10 and dosing around 212ml per week to maintain this level! (via automatic daily dosing of 30ml)

Hast du schon All For Reef probiert? Ich habe eine Menge LPS und SPS in einem 160g Becken. Ich kaufe einen 1600 Gramm Behälter Pulver. 160 Gramm gemischt mit Wasser ergibt einen Liter Dosierflüssigkeit. Also 10.000ml insgesamt und ich dosiere etwa 55ml pro Tag. Der Behälter kostet $80, also bin ich bei etwa $.40 pro Tag für mein Becken. Keine Ahnung, ob das günstiger ist haha, aber funktioniert bei mir super. Es macht Alk, Calc und Mag alles in einem
Have you tried All For Reef? I’ve got a ton of LPS and SPS in a 160g system. I buy a 1600 gram tub of power. That 160 grams mixed with water makes one liter of dosing. So 10,000ml total and I dose about 55ml per day. The tub is $80 so I’m at about $.40 a day for my system. Idk if that’s any cheaper aha but has worked great for me. It does alk calc mag all in one

Billy du Legende! Sieht so aus, als ob wir im UK etwas Ähnliches kaufen können. Habe Red Seas Videos dazu angesehen und es ist basically das gleiche: 100g Pulver in 1 Liter RODI Wasser. Kostet £34!
Billy you gent! Looks like we can buy something similar in the UK. Watched Red Sea’s videos on it and it’s basically the same 100g of powder into 1 litre of RODI water. Cost £34!

Diese KH Dosierung klingt ja heftig! Mit einer guten Mischung aus LPS und Softies hast du wahrscheinlich einen hohen Calciumverbrauch. Ich würde deine Calcium- und Magnesiumwerte auch doppelt checken, da sie zusammenhängen. Manchmal hilft Kalkwasser neben deiner Dosierung, die KH zu stabilisieren ohne zu brechen
That much KH dosing sounds intense! With a good mix of LPS and softies you probably have some heavy calc consumption going on. I’d double check your calcium and magnesium levels too since they work together. Sometimes using kalkwasser alongside your dosing can help stabilize KH without breaking

Der Calciumverbrauch liegt bei etwa 40ppm pro Woche, also dosiere ich ca. 11ml pro Tag von Foundation A. Mag sinkt nicht wirklich, bleibt ziemlich stabil.
The calc consumption is about 40ppm a week, so dosing approx. 11ml per day of foundation A. Mag doesn’t seem to drop all that much, stays pretty stable.

Nutzt du RODI Wasser für die Salzlösung? Wie sind deine Mg und Calc Werte? Ich frag wegen möglicher Ausfallverschmutzung

Ja, ich nutze RODI Wasser, TDS Meter zeigt 0ppm. Calcium 450ppm Magnesium hoch bei 1470ppm.

Es gibt viele Gründe, warum es so schnell verbraucht werden könnte (vielleicht CO2-Ansammlung im Zimmer?). Aber um deine Frage zu beantworten, was billiger ist: Natriumbicarbonat aus dem Supermarkt (in den USA nennen wir es Backpulver) + RODI. Es gibt Rezepte für die Mischung und Dosierrechner online.
Lots of reasons why it could be consumed so quickly(maybe CO2 buildup in the room?). But to answer your question on something cheaper; Sodium Bicarbonate from the grocery store (in the US we call it Baking Soda) + RODI. There’s recipes for the mixture and dosing calculators online.
