I recently acquired a baby yellow tang for my tank, but my purple tang has been exhibiting aggressive behavior towards it. It chases and bites the baby tang, prompting me to create a DIY acclimation tank. Additionally, I purchased a mirror to attach to the tank’s glass. Considering these factors, how long should I keep the baby tang separated from the purple tang?

I managed to catch my clowns and get my anemone off the rock last night before the lights went out. Now hopefully the learn that they can live together and will host so I can release them back into the tank in a few days. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

He estado alimentando fantasma de forma consistente desde el día uno, y las bacterias finalmente están activándose.

Estoy pensando en empezar a poner en cuarentena a algunos miembros del equipo de limpieza pronto.

¿Qué me recomendáis, espero un poco más o empiezo a preparar la cuarentena ahora?

Started cycling my Hello Reef last week, and today I saw my first signs of nitrite!

I’ve been ghost-feeding consistently since day one, and the bacteria are finally kicking in.

I’m thinking about starting to quarantine a few members of the clean-up crew soon.

What do you guys recommend, should I wait a bit longer or start prepping the QT now?

He estado viendo signos de terciopelo en algunos de mis peces así que los metí en una QT y esto fue cuando la estaba limpiando pero creo que estaba intentando frotar su boca contra cosas pero ¿alguien sabe qué son esos puntos negros que tiene en la boca y cerca del ojo?

I’ve been seeing signs of velvet on some of my fish so I got them in a QT and this is when I was cleaning it but I think it was trying to rub its mouth on stuff but does anybody know what those black spots are on its mouth and by its eye?

Acabo de montar este acuario de cuarentena, es una tina de 20 galones. Estoy bastante seguro de que es terciopelo, pero acabo de coger un tang y ha metido terciopelo en mi acuario. Es mi primer post pero ¿qué os parece del tratamiento que estoy usando? Por favor dadme sugerencias 😬😄

Poniendo en cuarentena los Tangs antes de moverlos al acuario nuevo. Tengo planeado añadir algunos peces nuevos antes de que estos tíos entren. Así los peces nuevos tienen tiempo para establecerse mientras la tang gang se toma un respiro.

Quarantineing the Tangs before I move them to the new tank. Inplant to add a few new fish before these guy get in there. So this way the new fish have time to establish them selves while the tang gang takes a break.

Día increíble hoy. Hace una semana que metí el coral Martillo y el coral Duncan de vuelta en cuarentena. Y lo único que he hecho es alimentarlos con fitoplancton, Reef energy AB+, y artemia. Y los tentáculos están empezando a volver. Incluso la Xenia está creciendo de nuevo. Muy emocionado por su regreso. Estamos luchando por una recuperación.

Awesome day today. It's been a week since I put the Hammer coral and the Duncan coral back into quarantine. And all I've done is feed them phytoplankton, Reef energy AB+, and brine shrimp. And their tentacles are starting to come back. Even the Xenia is growing back. Very excited for their return. We are fighting for a comeback.
