Description
The Candy Pencil Wrasse, also known as the Pencil Wrasse or Disappearing Wrasse, is a colorful saltwater fish notable for its slim, elongated body and vibrant markings. Its body is a striking combination of blue, purple, and red, with a distinctive white stripe running from its snout to its tail. This species is known for its unique behavior of burying itself in the sand when threatened or during the night for protection.

Environment
The Candy Pencil Wrasse prefers a well-lit tank with plenty of hiding spots and open swimming space. A sandy substrate is necessary for this species as they like to burrow. The tank should also have a secure lid as these fish are known jumpers.

This species is diurnal, active during the day and resting at night. They are generally peaceful but can be territorial with other wrasses. They are known to bury themselves in the sand for protection when they feel threatened or during the night.
