The Starry Blenny is a bottom dweller and often found perched on live rock or hiding in crevices within the reef in their natural habitat.
Reef Safe?
Yes
Environment
Starry Blennies are reef safe and require a tank with plenty of live rock for grazing and hiding. They also prefer a tank with a tight-fitting lid, as they are known to be jumpers.
Behavior
Starry Blennies are peaceful and solitary creatures. They are not particularly social, but they will tolerate other species. They are known to be territorial with their own kind, so it is best to keep only one per tank unless it's a mated pair. They have a unique behavior of imitating a cleaner wrasse to get close to predators.

Lot of personality. Mine dug a burrow, which doesn't seem like typical behavior. He'll come out and pick at the rocks and then dart back in his burrow. He is still visible in his burrow. He sticks his head out like a goby. Never had any aggression issues. Pretty good at keeping the rocks clean too!

Mine never had as much of a personality as other types of blennies, but they’ll keep your rock work and back glass clean while looking pretty unique.

One of my favorite fish ! It’s always out and about and has an awesome personality . Added benefit of annihilating hair algae as well !
