Description
A small, electric-blue damsel with a bright yellow caudal fin and peduncle, reaching just under 3 inches and staying colorful under any lighting. It is one of the more manageable damsels but still territorial, so add it last and give it plenty of rockwork and caves to claim; groups of three or more in a larger tank help spread out aggression. Extremely hardy and reef safe, it ignores corals and ornamental invertebrates and readily takes prepared foods.

Requires stable saltwater conditions with temperatures around 72-78 F, pH 8.1-8.4, salinity 1.020-1.025, good filtration, moderate water flow, and plenty of live rock or hiding places.
Behavior
Active and territorial, especially as it matures. It spends much of its time swimming in open areas and around rockwork, and may defend a chosen hiding spot.
