I recently acquired a baby yellow tang for my tank, but my purple tang has been exhibiting aggressive behavior towards it. It chases and bites the baby tang, prompting me to create a DIY acclimation tank. Additionally, I purchased a mirror to attach to the tank’s glass. Considering these factors, how long should I keep the baby tang separated from the purple tang?

Je garderais le petit yellow tang dans la boîte d'acclimation au minimum une semaine, parfois plus près de deux si le purple tang est vraiment fixé dessus. Une alimentation généreuse et le miroir peuvent aider beaucoup, et si le purple tang charge encore directement après la libération j'essaierais aussi un petit remaniement des rochers.
I would keep the baby yellow tang in the acclimation box for at least a week, sometimes closer to two if the purple tang is really keyed in on it. Heavy feeding and the mirror can help a lot, and if the purple tang is still charging right away after release I would try a little rockwork shuffle too.

Je vais leur donner une semaine et si le yellow se fait encore charger dans la boîte je vais le rendre à la personne qui me l'a donné.
I’m going to give them a week and if he’s still charging the yellow in the box I’m going to give it back to the person I got it from.

Au minimum je ferais une semaine, mélanger des zebrasomas surtout avec un purple tang est extrêmement difficile après le premier ajout. Je ne suggérerais pas d'essayer dans moins de 150g personnellement
At a minimum I would do a week, mixing zebrasomas especially anything with a purple tang is extremely hard to do after the first addition. I wouldnt suggest trying it in anything less than a 150g display personally

Je vais leur donner une semaine et voir ce qui se passe. Je vais les garder séparés pour l'instant. Si ça ne s'améliore pas je vais rendre le yellow tang. J'ai un 250 gallon en préparation!
I’m going to give it a week and see what happens. I’ll keep them separated for now. If it doesn’t get better I’ll return the yellow tang. I’ve got a 250 gallon in the works!

J'ai gardé mon petit yellow tang dans une boîte d'acclimation pendant une semaine. Je voulais le épaissir un peu. J'ai un grand sailfin tang et un petit gem tang. Après une semaine ils étaient tous les meilleurs copains

Je viens de faire la même chose avec un petit purple. Juste deux jours et après j'ai mis un carreau de miroir sur le côté du bac. J'ai lâché le petit gars quand les lumières étaient éteintes. Le lendemain matin tout allait bien
I just did the same thing with a baby purple. Just two days and then put a mirror tile on the side of the tank. Ket the little guy go when the lights were out. Next morning all was good
