Sono nuovo nel saltwater. Circa una settimana fa ho preso un’anemone condylactis e sembrava stare bene. Ieri ho notato che iniziava a spostarsi da un angolo della mia vasca all’altro e stamattina verso le 9 l’ho vista come nella prima foto. Sembrava che si stesse rimpicciolendo. Ora sembra la seconda. Qualcuno sa cosa sta succedendo? Può essere morto o c’è un modo per salvarlo?
I’m new to saltwater. Got a condylactis anemone about a week ago and it seemed to be doing good. I noticed it started moving from one corner of my tank to another yesterday and when I saw it this morning around 9am it was like the first picture. Seemed to be shrinking. Now it looks like the second. Does anyone know what is going on? Could it be dead or is there any way to save it?

Lo chiedo perché dici che sei alle prime armi: che illuminazione hai nella tua vasca? Hanno bisogno di un’illuminazione abbastanza decente, almeno 150+ par per un ambiente ideale. Serve anche una corrente d’acqua decente, per far sventolare i tentacoli nell’acqua. Infine, i nem sono creature particolarmente sensibili e hanno bisogno di un ecosistema avviato/stabile. Non suggerirei mai di metterne uno in un sistema appena nuovo (di età inferiore a qualche mese). E poi occhio. I Condy sono noti per mangiare i pesci. Sono tra le anemoni più aggressive in giro
I ask this because you say that you’re new - what lighting do you have on your tank? They need pretty decent lighting of 150+ par for an ideal environment. It also needs decent water flow to get its tentacles waving in the water. Lastly, nems are particularly sensitive creatures and need an established/stable ecosystem. I’d never suggest putting one in a brand new system (under a few months of age). Also be careful. Condys are known to be fish eaters. They’re one of the more aggressive nems out there

Ho una luce Hygger da 12”. È regolabile e per ora sembra andare bene. E sì! Ho visto che se li nutri quando serve, stanno lontani dai pesci, soprattutto quelli più grandi :)
I have a 12” Hygger lighting. It’s adjustable and seems to be doing okay for now. And yes! I’ve seen that if you feed them as needed, they’ll keep away from fish especially the bigger ones :)
Le vasche nano possono essere difficili con le anemoni, dato che a loro piace vagare e a volte si rimpiccioliscono quando sono stressate. Assicurati che illuminazione e corrente siano a posto e controlla i parametri dell’acqua, perché in un setup piccolo le cose possono cambiare in fretta!
Nano tanks can be tricky with anemones since they like to wander and sometimes shrink up when stressed. Make sure your lighting and flow are on point and keep an eye on your water parameters since things can swing fast in a small setup!

Grazie, ci proverò! Ho anche un power head, che avevo preso ma all’inizio quasi me lo risucchiava dentro, quindi l’ho lasciato stare per un po’, però magari ora devo riprovare visto che è attaccato a qualcosa. :)

Hanno bisogno di una luce bella tosta, da quello che so è l’esigenza maggiore di tutte le specie di nem. Ho il mio Condy sotto circa 250 par e a volte sembra che stia cercando di averne ancora. Puoi provare a prendere un anemone basket o un anemone cup, come un “nido”, per sollevarlo più in alto nella vasca così prende più luce. Richiedono anche delle somministrazioni: io do da mangiare alle mie anemoni ogni 3 giorni. Va bene anche gambero crudo del supermercato, tagli il gambero a pezzetti piccoli e dai da mangiare con delle pinzette da alimentazione E sì, ospiteranno anche un Clarkii clown
They need serious light, from what I understand the most lighting need of all the Nem species. I have my Condy under about 250 par and at times he seems like he is reaching for more. You can try getting an anemone basket or anemone cup type nest to raise him higher in the tank for more light. They require feedings I feed my anemones every 3 days . Just raw shrimp from the grocery store works, cut the shrimp into small chunks and feed with feeding tweezers And yes they will host a Clarkii clown

Che figata, e grazie anche per il fatto che lo dici! Ho cambiato l’illuminazione per testare, e lui sembra stare un po’ meglio. Lo terrò a mente da ora in poi. Però finora ho comunque dato da mangiare gamberi!
That’s so cool, and also good to know! I did change the lighting to test it out, and he does look a bit better. I will keep that in mind from now on. I have been feeding shrimp though!

Se hai una stampante 3d posso mandarti un file .slt per un anemone nest, che puoi attaccare al vetro con magneti reef-safe o ventose. È un modo buono per sollevarli più in alto in vasca per avere più luce
If you have a 3d printer I can send you a slt file for an anemone nest which you can attach to the glass with reef safe magnets or suction cups. It’s a good way to get them higher up in the tank for more light
